“I take thousands of pictures which aid me in finding the right image to create my paintings. Sometimes, however, my reference and inspiration, is a vivid memory. “Canoes No. 3/3” was inspired by the unforgettable canoe trips I took in my youth in Northern Saskatchewan. The trees, water and light are symbolically represented. The overturned canoes represent rest at the end of a long paddle.”
