Uluru No. 2 2015

Mixed media on canvas with resin. 40” x 16”

I made a special trip to Australia in 1987 to travel the outback to fulfill a childhood dream of visiting Ayers Rock. The journey, the climb and the view from Uluru, as it is now called, was awe inspiring. The paprika colour from the rock often finds it’s place on my palette as is most evident in my work, “Canoes”. “Uluru No. 2/2 is a canvas based on a small acrylic wash sketch of the same title painted in 1989.
