“What I found fascinating about this place was the “business” going on under this famous bridge. The bridge itself almost seemed to slide, as it does in this work, to the background. As with many works that I have created, the excitement and energy of the urban architecture is of significance to me. This lifelong passion with architectural three dimensional spaces and the shapes and shadows that their volume creates is always with me when I strive to capture that energy in my work.”
