“Once again I am in awe of the breathtaking possibilities that come from amazing light sources and the grandeur of the sea. These ships have often docked off of Gabriola Island waiting for what seems like weeks to load or unload. Their arrival and departure always seems magically instantaneous. My ferry, the Quinsam, found me the right moment in time to capture a few photographs that have inspired, “The Black Forest”.”
