“I used to practice foul shots and lay ups at this very net at Central Junior High, forty years ago. The Shot represents my chance at a life far away from my Northern Saskatchewan home; my chance to learn in a big school, in a big city...my chance to learn to take a shot both literally and figuratively. It is full circle for me that I took a shot and became a teacher, a principal and an artist only to capture this moment and recall how I was once just a kid thinking about getting a ball into a hoop with nothing but net.”
